Event Details

Create a slab built mug that looks like a tree stump! Students will use a slab of clay to build a stump cup. Then using stamps, texture, and underglazes, students will pull out their creative inspiration to make their cup look like their imagined tree stump. This class is for anyone!

Michelle Gunnin is a retired elementary school teacher who is excited to be able to teach what she loves… pottery! She fell in love with playing with the mud and cannot wait to share that passion with kids of all ages!

The finished creations will be fired and then clear glazed by the instructor and available for pick up. This process could take 4-6 weeks but is often quicker.

Disclaimer: As with any ceramics, there is risk when firing in a kiln. We will try our best not to lose any creations!

Notes:

  • Onsite parking is available for class participants.
  • 48 hours prior notice of cancellation needed for full refund of class fee.
