Nestled in the heart of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest,
Anna Ruby Falls is one of Georgia’s most stunning natural wonders. Where Curtis and York
Creeks converge, twin waterfalls tumble more than 150 feet into the forest below. Yet, while the
rushing waters take center stage, the skies above hold an equally captivating spectacle: the
soaring presence of Georgia’s birds of prey.
More than 130 species of birds call Northeast Georgia home, including 25 raptors, carnivorous
birds that play a vital role in balancing our ecosystems. Though often seen at a distance, it’s a
rare opportunity to stand eye-to-eye with these remarkable hunters. That’s why FIND Outdoors
is thrilled to welcome Georgia Mountain Falconry to Anna Ruby Falls on October 18, 2025,
for Raptor Rendezvous, a live demonstration that brings eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, and
some surprise guests within arm’s reach. Visitors will learn how these powerful birds fit into the
natural food chain and why they are essential to a healthy forest.
This event is free with the cost of admission to Anna Ruby Falls and runs from 10:00 AM to
3:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras, curiosity, and sense of wonder, but
please, no pets. Anna Ruby Falls is located at 3455 Anna Ruby Falls Road, Helen, GA 30545.
For one day only, the waterfalls won’t be the only breathtaking view. Don’t miss your chance to
be face-to-face with raptors at Anna Ruby Falls.
