Event Details

Join the Georgia Native Plants Society at Anna Ruby Falls to learn about the unique native plants that can be found in North Georgia. Native plants aren’t just beautiful—they’re essential. They’ve evolved alongside our region’s wildlife and climate, making them easier to maintain and better for the environment. Unlike non-native species, which can disrupt delicate ecological balances, native plants support pollinators, require fewer resources, and thrive without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

Come learn, connect, and be inspired to see the natural world around you with fresh eyes. Let’s work together to preserve and promote the plants that truly belong here.

About the Georgia Plant Society:
The North Georgia Mountains chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society was formed in 2021 to educate people about the importance of promoting the use of native plants.
