Make a bacon cooker!

Make a bacon cooker! In this class, you will be adding texture and forming the cooker. When your bacon cooker is completed, using it is easy. Just drape uncooked bacon around the cylinder and microwave. Alternatively, you can put the cooker into a cold oven and then bake at 325F.

Excess fat collects into the dish at the bottom and can be poured out by using the handle and spout. Put it into the dishwasher for easy cleanup.

The instructor will dry, glaze and fire your pieces to your specifications. The cookers will be ready for pickup in 4-6 weeks. Out of town guests can have them shipped for an additional fee

Alyson has been teaching and managing the pottery studio at the Helen Arts and Heritage Center since 2022. She teaches both wheel and hand building classes.

As with any ceramics, there is inherent risk that pottery may fail in the kiln. We use best practices to minimize this risk.
