The Sautee Nacoochee Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing creativity and committed to preserving and protecting the natural and historical resources of the Sautee and Nacoochee Valleys and the surrounding area. It is home to the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia, an African American Heritage Site, and the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center. The Cultural Center houses two gallery shops, the Center Theatre, a local history museum, and an art studio. A playground, walking trail and the Native Peace Garden are located on the 8.5 acre campus. The Center also offers event and meeting facilities. Learn the history of hand-thrown folk pottery. Immerse yourself in the vibrant artwork lining the halls of the 1928 schoolhouse. Shop for locally handmade artwork.
