Skylake Galleries

Started as a dream of Charles and Nona Stephens, Skylake Galleries opened in April, 2018. After purchasing the Skylake “Old Country Store” at the entrance to Skylake Nature Preserve in Sautee Nacoochee, GA, renovation began on the building to house not only their artwork of paintings and photography, but also a beautiful collection of artists’ work from around North Georgia, as well as nationally. Nona, who specializes in oil painting of landscapes, has had a lifelong interest in antiques and art even before her degree in interior design and opening her own business. Charles, a retired attorney, returned to his old love of photography, is self taught with intensive study and years of refining his technique. He also prefers landscapes, especially of Georgia and surrounding Sautee Nacoochee. The Gallery also shows select pottery, sculpture, wood turnings. In the antique side of the Gallery you will find antique furniture, china, architectural artifacts, antique linens and lace, and much, much more, to delight visitors with a discerning eye for what makes a house a home.
