Ceramic Pitcher with Alyson Webber

We’ll be making one large pitcher out of a slab of clay and template. You’ll be shown how to add texture with stamps or fabric or add your own artwork with carving into the surface. We’ll carefully fold and seal the clay in order to create an elegant arching design.

The glazing and firing will be done for you by your instructor after you leave. It can take up to 6 weeks until the final product is ready to take home, but it is often earlier. Out of town guests can pay for shipping for an additional $15.

As with any ceramics, there is inherent risk that pots fail in the kiln. We use best practices to minimize this risk.

Onsite parking is available at the Helen Arts Center during class time.
